At 51, Perkins is easily the oldest driver in the Holden Team of Champions. In fact, now that Peter Brock and Dick Johnson have retired, Perkins is suddenly V8 Supercars elder statesman.

In a 30 year career that has taken Larry all the way to Formula One, there isn't much he hasn't achieved. In V8 Supercars, the Shell Championship Series is about the only thing he hasn't won. Naturally he would like to win it, but he would enjoy another Bathurst win - his seventh - even more.
